Cold Insulation

1. +20°C to -165°C

Cold insulation is applied to equipements and piping operating at temperature below 10 degree celcius where reduction of heat gain and prevention of surfaces from condensation is desired.

For such equipements and piping fixed without interlaying equipements and piping to be insulated over the attachments by the thickness of insulation such as skirts or leg of tanks, pipe supports, branches of vents and drain piping.

General Application Method

• Cleaning Rust and dust and other foriegn particles with the help of wire brush.
• One coat of anticorrosive paint over the pipe and surface area.
• Fixing Cold Service Material with bitumen and sealing joints properly.
• Fixing vapour barrier over the above material.
• Jacketing with aluminum sheet proper grooved at the edge of sheet for waterproofing and for reinforcement with self-tapping sheet metal screw.

We provide best service with LRB Mattresses and covered with R.P.Tissue and Shalikot as a Vapour Barrier. Also some times clients using Second Layer of PUF / Thermocole with Vapour Barrier.
